JAMMU, Aug 28: A father and his son damaged a kiosk of newspaper and later set it on fire at Canal Road.
As per police sources, on the intervening night of August 26 and 27, Ashok Kumar Gupta and his son Amit Gupta alias Mithu had some altercation with Sunil Talwar, who was running a kiosk of newspaper at canal road.
Ashok Kumar Gupta along with son damaged the kiosk and later set it on fire and fled from the spot.
On getting information, police team from Canal Road Police Post rushed to the spot and with the help of locals brought the fire under control, but till then, the kiosk was damaged.
The owner of the kiosk lodged a complaint against Ashok Kumar Gupta and his son at Canal Road Police Post and accordingly a case has been registered against them.
However, no arrest has been made when reports last were compiled.
