JAMMU, Dec 14: A Fauji Mela was organised by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Jhangar, Bhawani, today for Ex-Servicemen residing in far flung border areas of tehsil Nowshera.
The Mela was organised to alleviate the problem being faced by them and provide all necessary assistance for resolution of the same.
The Mela was attended by the various Military, Civil dignitaries, large number of Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and civilians.
A large number of stalls including SBI, J&K Bank, LIC, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Canteen and Dispensaries were set up during the Mela to cover different facets of livelihood, welfare and occupation.
The fervour in the Mela was up-surged by the various colourful cultural programs performed by the children of nearby village schools.
The Mela provided a platform to the Ex-servicemen and civilians in attaining knowledge of various civil departments in a detailed manner, which will lead to their social and cultural development.
