The recent recruitment of J&K Bank has created confusion and doubts about the policy behind the selection of candidates. In violation of all norms the faulty method of selection by short listing candidates on district basis is all unacceptable.
One fails to understand why was not the short list and the final list made public in news papers and the banks website as per the recruitment rules and in the best interest of the candidates.
The injustice meted to the deserving candidates is unfortunate. It has of course marred the career of dozens of unemployed youth.
In order to maintain transparency in the banks, future recruitments the matter needs to be investigated at the highest level.
