JAMMU, Sept 17: Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Dr. Pawan Kotwal today inspected the Central Record Room, Jammu to review the implementation of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) in the the State.
Commissioner Survey & Land Records, J&K, Shahbaz Mirza, Regional Director S&LR, Jammu, Rifat Kohli, Regional Director S&LR Udhampur, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Regional Director S&LR Chenab Valley Mohammad Haneef Malik, SDM Jammu South, ACs (Rev) Samba, Reasi and Ramban were also present on the occasion.
At the outset, Rifat Kohli presented to the Financial Commissioner Revenue a brief of the various activities of the project underway at Central Record Room, Jammu. She apprised that 1,36,58,242 lakh documents and 17,911 Mussavis have been scanned in Jammu Division and 1198 Mussavis of district Jammu have been digitized.
Similarly, 160 Primary, 1894 Secondary Ground Control points have been installed in Jammu Division and 1747 tertiary GCPs have been installed in district Jammu. She also informed that this office has started issuing services of the scanned documents to the public.
Meanwhile, service provider made a power point presentation on the various objectives of the DILRMP including the Cadastral Information System, Survey & Re-survey etc.
The FCR appreciated the role of the Regional Director S&LR, Jammu and the service provider M/s Ramtech Pvt Ltd for the efforts in implementation of the project. However, he directed to redouble the pace of the work so that the first phase is completed in a time bound manner. He assured that the office of FCR shall extend full support/requirements for the proper implementation of the project.
Later, the FCR convened a meeting of the senior revenue officers with regard to the implementation of the DILRMP project and finalization of the modalities to be followed for its proper execution. He impressed upon revenue officers to speed up the process of updation of Jamabandis in the field so that the project can be completed at an earliest.
