FCI employees’ protest enters third day

JAMMU, Mar 28: Indefinite strike by Food Corporation of India Workers Union of Jammu and Kashmir Region on the call given by All India FCI Workers Union, New Delhi entered third day today.
The protesting employees were demanding release of arrears, revision of ASOR on half yearly basis, fulfillment of vacancies on DPS pattern to cover the shortage of labourers and restoration of OTA as per MGW Act, which has been withheld from June last year.
Addressing the gathering, Union leaders expressed their anguish over the callous attitude of the FCI management for not conceding their demands.
Among others present were HC Sharma, vice president, Jamat Ali, Yaqoo Hussain, Mohd Sultan, Milkhi Ram, Bawa Ram and others.
