R S PURA, Sept 2: Taranjit Singh Tony, Member DDC Suchetgarh, today lashed out at Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department for supplying poor quality ration and storing the same under unhygienic conditions in the dealers’ stores.
The DDC Member took stock of two stores of the department in R S Pura and Baspur Bangla localities where he found that the ration was kept in a dingy place with stink emanating badly. Tony said that he was surprised to see the quality of the ration which was being supplied under the Public Distribution System (PDS) as its condition was so poor that even animals would refuse to eat the same.
Alleging that senior officers of the FCS&CA department seem to be phlegmatic towards their duty, Tony sought regular visits of the Director FCS&CA Department to make necessary improvements in the supply of ration.
Sukhdev Singh Manhas, Sarpanch Baspur Bangla also accompanied the DDC member.
