FDI will eliminate role of brokers, middlemen: Kissan Sangh

JAMMU, Sept 23: Hailing the Union Government’s decision to allow Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail market, president All India Kissan Sewa Sangh, J&K chapter, Dr Raj Kumar Chowdhary said it will eliminate role of brokers and middlemen will be out of scene.
Talking to reporters here, today, he said the decision on FDI is in the interests of the farmers as well as the retail consumers who will get maximum benefit simultaneously. The farmers on the one hand will get good rates as there will be direct deal between farmers and representatives of FDIs who will purchase things at good rate and will also provide good facilities to farmers, the consumers will also get things on reasonable rates on the other hand, he added.
Vinod Yadav president of the Sangh from Delhi and K K Sharma its vice president J&K chapter who were also present in the press conference lauded the Union Government’s decision on FDI. They warned that farmers will hold protests, come to streets against those forces who are playing with the interests of farming community by opposing FDI.
They said the farmers will boycott coming elections and also those political parties who will be against the FDI. Appreciating the steps taken by Union Government Dr Chowdhary appealed all farmers of the country and other consumers to join hands with All India Kissan Sewa Sangh for the interests of farmers and consumers.
Kuldeep Raj Chalotra, Vikas Verma, Hakim Chand, Teru Ram, Krishan Lal, Ram Chand , Chaman Lal and other members of the Sangh were present in the press conference.
