FDP on ‘Authentic Leadership & Excellence’ begins at CUJ

JAMMU, Nov 22: A five day faculty development program was initiated by the School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu, here today.
The program, funded by the AICTE Training & Learning (ATAL) academy, is aimed at creating a better understanding of self, enabling the participants to improvise on certain life skills for excellence in personal and professional arena. The 5- day long FDP shall be conducted in blended mode.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor CUJ, graced the inaugural session and appreciated the team at the Business School, CUJ, for organising an FDP in a theme of extreme relevance in the given turbulent times. He stated that self leadership and excellence are the drivers to engage in the VUCA world. He further said that self accountability is inspirational to build a collaborative work culture and more so in academics as the world of work is facing tremendous changes post the ongoing pandemic.
Earlier, Prof Jaya Bhasin, Dean, School of Business Studies, expressed hope that this five days FDP, will not only enrich the participants while laying emphasis on building emotional intelligence through self-awareness, social skills as also support their overall well being. She emphasised that such life skills are essential to the presence of an academician.
Dr Neelika Arora and Dr Shahid Mushtaq, Coordinators of the FDP, briefed that a team of specialised life coaches, Nidhi Arora (PCC, CLC, M Tech), and Priyanka (ACC,MA), are the resource persons who will facilitate the discussions and deliberations.
The five days FDP is divided into 14 sessions and topics of aunthentic leadership & excellence, emotional intelligence and personal Branding.
