JAMMU, Feb 7: The Finance Department today directed that the procuring authorities will certify reasonability of the rates while purchasing Goods and Services through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
“Reasonability of rates will be ascertained by using the Business Analytics tools available on GeM including the last purchase price on GeM, Departments’ own last purchase price and market prices,” an official order issued today by Finance Commissioner (Finance Department) Dr Arun Kumar Mehta said.
It added that in order to ensure that the rates are competitive and reasonable, the Departments will use option of bidding and reverse auction provided on the GeM.
