KATRA, Mar 20: Foiling an attempt of liquor smuggling to the holy town, Katra Police today arrested a female bootlegger and her male accomplice. 102 liquor pouches were recovered from their possession
A Police team, headed by SHO Katra, Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Dr Ashok Sharma, laid a special naka at Asia Chowk Katra and intercepted the accused, who were smuggling pouches of J&K Excise liquor in a Maruti car JK02L-1027.
Police seized the liquor pouches and arrested the accused, who were identified as Satish Kumar of Raipur Satwari Jammu and Kirandeep, wife of Gurpreet of Model Town Jalandhar Punjab.
Katra Police has registered a case in this connection and also seized the Maruti car, used in smuggling of the liquor.
