REASI, May 5: Police today arrested a female bootlegger and smashed a Desi liquor kiln, which was being run by the accused at her house in village Jambri in Reasi.
Acting on specific information that the accused Kamlesh Kour, wife of Avtar Singh of village Jambri was indulged in manufacturing of illicit liquor, a Police party, led by SHO Reasi, Inspector Dalip Singh Parihar and Incharge PP Talwara, SI Ved Parkash, raided her house.
Police seized running Desi liquor distillery alongwith 10 litres of illicit liquor and 5000 liters Lahan. The recovered Lahan was destroyed on the spot while the accused was arrested.
A case FIR No. 62/2016 U/S 48-e Excise Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Reasi for further investigation.
