UDHAMPUR, Nov 26: A female Police Head Constable was killed when her Scooty was hit by a Truck Trawler at Gole Mella Dhar road, here today.
The deceased was identified as Head constable Shakti Devi, wife of Satwant Singh, resident of near CEO Office Udhampur. She was riding a Scooty when the Truck Trawler, bearing registration number JK14E-9740, hit the two-wheeler. Even as the victim was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Udhampur Police has arrested driver of the Trawler and registered the case in this connection.
Meanwhile, Ramnagar Police has arrested the driver who was involved in hit and run case on November 22 at Neyoji, Ramnagar. The accused namely Dwarka Nath of Kirmoo was driving the vehicle JK14G-0159, which hit a pedestrian namely Vijay Kumar, son of Kirpu Ram of Thaplal, who had died on the spot.
