JAMMU, Jan 15: A female leopard was found dead in the forests of village Samthyal in Samba district today. After being informed by the local people, the team of the Wildlife Department reached the spot. The employees of the Department immediately took the body into their custody. Click here to watch video
Joginder Paul Gupta, Range Officer of Wildlife Department said that the female leopard was found dead in the forest under mysterious circumstances. “We have lodged a complaint with the police, later its postmortem will be done, if anyone is found guilty in this, strict action will be taken against him”, he added.
He said the cause of death is not clear yet. Post-mortem is being conducted after which the cause of the death will be ascertained.
