NEW DELHI: Minister of state for Home Kiren Rijiju has said that the fencing on the Indo-Pakistan border laced with modern technology will be completed by the end of next year.
Speaking at a conference organised on the topic of ‘Smart Border Management’ by FICCI in collaboration with India Foundation, Mr Rijiju said that due to the involvement of many agencies in border management , work on the fencing and application of technology is being delayed.
He said that work on the fencing was delayed due to complex tendering process and other formalities and stressed the need to remove these formalities now.
