JAMMU, May 29: Festival of India in Thailand–Literary Fest on the theme “Words on Water” concluded at Chulalongkorn University.
The concluding function was attended by Princess Mahachakri Sirindhorn as chief guest.
The event showcased prominent Indian authors including Vikas Swarup, Shobhaa De, Shailendra Gulhati of Jammu, Arshia Sattar, Namita Gokhale, and Amrita Tripathi. The conversation was moderated by Sanjoy Roy and Puneeta Roy of Teamwork Arts.
Ambassador of India Harsh Vardhan Shringla pointed out that the second edition of the Festival of India in Thailand, 2015, directly reached more than 10,000 people and through social media to more than 100,000 people.
The audience included leading members of Academia including the Chairperson of Chulalongkorn University Council, President of Chulalongkorn University, Permanent Secretary for Culture of the Kingdom of Thailand, Academicians, officials from the Administration, faculty and students of Chulalongkorn and other universities, Diplomatic corps and enthusiastic Indian community.
