FICCI FLO JKL concludes digital literacy program for women at GCW Parade

JAMMU, Apr 24: FICCI FLO Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh (JKL), in collaboration with NIIT Foundation, successfully concluded its digital literacy program in financial awareness at Government College for Women (GCW), Parade today.
A statement said the program aimed to equip young women with essential digital and financial skills to boost their confidence and prepare them for future careers.
It said thirty students received certificates from NIIT Foundation at the closing ceremony, recognising their active participation and successful completion of the course.
Key topics covered during the training included financial planning, mobile banking, and insurance.
Faculty members and resource persons including Dr Seema Malhotra, Dr Nitu Sharma, Prof Mohammad Qayoom, Prof Sukhvinder Kour, and Dr Iesha Sharma were honoured by FICCI FLO JKL for their contribution to the program’s success.
Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL, Aarti Chowdhary, thanked GCW Parade Principal Dr Ravinder Tickoo for his support and stressed the importance of financial literacy in women’s empowerment.
She encouraged students to use their new skills to create positive change in their lives.
Students shared enthusiastic feedback, saying the sessions were interactive and helpful. Teachers appreciated the initiative and announced plans to start a new batch soon.
The event was attended by core team members of FICCI FLO JKL, including Immediate Past Chairperson Ruchika Gupta, National Initiative Head for Collaborations and Partnership Varuna Anand, Senior Vice Chairperson Varsha Bansal, Vice Chairperson Rupika Sahai, Secretary Nandita Bajaj, and Joint Treasurer Shipra Aggarwal.
The college assured continued collaboration with FICCI FLO JKL to support women-centric skill development programs in the future.
