FICCI FLO signs MoU with CRC for empowering PwDs

JAMMU, Nov 25: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Chapter and the Composite Regional Center (CRC) Jammu to empower women and persons with disabilities through skill development, rehabilitation programs, and socio-economic initiatives.
This partnership will leverage the strengths of both organizations to create a supportive ecosystem where women and individuals with disabilities can access training, workshops, and resources aimed at fostering independence and enhancing employability. The initiative aligns with national goals of inclusivity and social justice, emphasizing the importance of equipping marginalized communities with opportunities for growth and integration into mainstream society.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL, emphasized the Chapter’s commitment to creating sustainable pathways for women empowerment. The Director of CRC Jammu highlighted the Centre’s dedication to rehabilitation and capacity building, describing the MoU as a “catalyst for meaningful change.”
This collaboration reflects a shared vision for societal progress, bringing together expertise and resources to ensure that the needs of women and persons with disabilities are effectively addressed.
The MoU outlines a framework for creating skill development programs tailored to persons with disabilities, enabling them to acquire vocational skills that are aligned with the job market’s needs. Joint efforts will be made to create awareness about the capabilities and potential of persons with disabilities, highlighting the importance of inclusive society and workplace.
The partnership will focus on building pathways for employment of disabled individuals, connecting them with organizations and businesses looking to hire skilled professionals. Both organizations will engage in community outreach programs to foster an inclusive and accessible environment for people with disabilities, ensuring that they are integrated into all aspects of societal life.
