JAMMU, Sept 28: FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (JKL) Chapter today signed an MoU with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for beautification of Green Belt Park, Gandhi Nagar.
On behalf of FICCI FLO, the memorandum was signed by Chairperson of JKL Chapter while Avny Lavasa, Commissioner JMC signed the MoU on behalf of the Corporation.
Atul Kumar Gupta, Secretary JMC, Dr Rabia Bano Khan, Assistant Floriculture Officer JMC and Amarjeet Singh from JMC were present on the occasion. From FICCI FLO JKL Chapter, vice chairperson Esther William, executive secretary Ritika Trehan and other prominent members were present, apart from chairperson Ritu Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Ritu Singh said that they will soon come out with a blue print to beautify the park and their focus will be on plantation of medicinal plants, herbs and flowers which are offered to Gods & Goddesses and are significant. She said that the park will be maintained voluntarily by the FICCI FLO ladies under the directive of JMC.
“Yoga camps would be organized and plantation of the trees will be done according to the Navgrah to bring about peace and wellness of citizens. The park will be an interactive space with wellness and social activities that involve society by means of open air talks, music etc. integrating mind body and soul,” she added.
