Fill up vacant posts of masters: JKGTF

SAMBA, Dec 25: Jammu Kashmir Government Teachers Forum (JKGTF) demanded filling up of vacant posts of masters so that students may not suffer.
Addressing a press conference, State President of the Forum Satish Dutta appealed to Director School Education Jammu to fill up all the vacant posts of masters in district Samba specially Sumb Goran Belt of Zone Samba. Dutta said that many High Schools and Middle School in rural areas are running without masters.
He said there are six posts of masters lying vacant in HS Smotha and two posts of masters are lying vacant in HS Goran beside this many posts of masters are lying vacant in middle schools in that area and the students of these schools are suffering. Hundreds of masters are surplus in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts and adjust/transfer these masters on priority basis on vacant posts.
Omkar Chand General Secretary of the Forum said moreover 572 teachers promoted as master in February 2014 having distance mode degrees must be adjusted forthwith without delay so that justice can be provided to them.
District President Surjeet Singh appealed to the Education Minister to clear the pending liability of salary of teachers and masters who are working under SSA as well as adjust the DA arrears with effect from January 2014 to May 2017 in GP Fund.
Roopa Sambyal, Woman Wing President, Keemti Lal Sharma, Kamal Singh Hardyal, Anuragh, Shivraj, Kewal Kumar, Madan, Ved Prakash, Rakesh Kumar, Vaishno Dutt, Anil Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Devinder Sharma and Parshotam Seth were also present during the conference.
