SRINAGAR, Sept 20: Film maker, Ashok Pandit along with leading Producer, Deepak Dhar called on Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha here and discussed threadbare the Film Industries plan of shooting films and serials in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We met Manoj Sinha to discuss various projects in the UT of J&K and also how best the Industry can avail all the facilities laid down in the film policy and make the UT into a major Shooting hub”, Ashok Pandit told Excelsior.
Pandit informed LG that Film Industry is keen to shoot in J&K as lot of organisations involved in production of films and web serials in Mumbai are interested to shoot in Jammu and Kashmir to boost its economy. He informed Lt. Governor the film industry wants to see that how it can boom towards J&K and create job opportunities for the local people of the UT.
Pandit said that the meeting with LG was held in a cordial manner saying Manoj Sinha was very supportive and courteous. He assured all help from administration level and discussed every thing in candid manner with us, Pandit added.
“We also discussed about the shooting of one episode of Kapil Sharma’s big show in Dal Lake, Srinagar in next month and said that their three to four shows are at present in the pipeline”,Pandit informed.
