Final of All India Devotional Song Competition today

JAMMU, Oct 22: The final of All India Devotional Song Competition will be held in holy township of Katra, 43 kms from here tomorrow. The competition will be held at Yog Ashram Complex Katra from 9am onwards.
This was stated by Rakesh Wazir chairman Devotional Song Committee Katra which is hosting the competition while talking to reporters today.
He said the Devotional Song Competition in the Navratra festival is jointly being organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, J&K Tourism, in association with Zee News, Zee Jagran, Sharda MH one, Disha Channel, Big 92.7 FM, J&K Bank, RR Arts a film and music company, Nidesh Builders Jammu, Jai Mata Di Sewa Sangh, KC Residency, Hotel and Restaurant Association, Katra, District Administration under the overall supervision of Navratra Festival Committee headed by Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
Mr Wazir said the Devotional Song Competition started over 16 years back with the sole objective to promote and provide platform to the singers from all over India  in the holy township of Katra, besides promotion of tourism in J&K.
He said most of the judges especially Ganesh Jain Managing Director, Venus Record and Tapes Ltd, Ramesh Taurani Managing Director Tips Industries Ltd, Pritam Music Director, Madhur Bhandarkar Producer / director and national award winner, Vikas Mohan Trade analyst and Barkha Arora CEO, Zee Jagran were associated with the competition since past. However, film maker Ashok Pandit has joined this year, he added.
He said the live telecast will be available to the world on the Shardha MH one and the Disha Channels. The film and media personalities will perform as judges in the Mega final of the competition tomorrow.
