JAMMU, Feb 8: Finance Department has directed all the departments that while registering beneficiaries for DBT Schemes, provide mandatory Aadhar numbers of such persons while putting the request for account validation in PFMS.
In a communication, Director General (Budget), Finance Department while referring to the updation of beneficiary data in PFMS said it has been observed that while registering beneficiaries for DBT schemes, many departments have not provided the mandatory Aadhar numbers of the beneficiaries while putting the request for account validation in PFMS. It is impressed upon all the Programme Divisions of all the departments to update Aadhar numbers of the beneficiaries in PFMS, for external systems integrated with PFMS by submitting account validation update request with beneficiary’s Aadhar number against the Adhar number tag; for schemes using PFMS portal, the beneficiaries of Aadhar number may be updated using the edit facility available.
In case, Adhar numbers of some of the beneficiaries are missing, the same may be collected and updated in PFMS in the same manner. It is impressed upon all that the beneficiary and account both should be Aadhar based. Editing facility also needs to be incorporated as per guidelines and weeding out of ineligible persons need to be confirmed on DBT portal, the Finance department communiqué said.
