Financial assistance among demands of JKPSA

JAMMU, Apr 29: J&K Private Schools Association (JKPSA) has claimed that private schools here are continuing online classes as instructed by the Directorate of School Education.
In a handout Association General Secretary, Ajay Gupta said they have given a memorandum to Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu in this regard.
He informed, to cope up the academic loss of students in the ongoing lockdown majority of private schools are providing education online through written assignments, video lectures etc.
The General Secretary claimed that study work assigned to the students is going on smoothly and the response of students and parents is very encouraging and positive.
To overcome problems faced by most of low budget private schools JKPSA President, Kamal Gupta demanded financial assistance from the government so that school authorities can pay salary to their teaching and non teaching staff.
He appealed government to pass an order that schools will not charge any transport fee for the lockdown period while tuition fee should be charged on monthly basis till normalcy is restored, late fee will not be charged from the students, annual fee will be charged on pro rata basis, there will be no increase in fee for the academic session 2020-2021.
He also demanded permission to open school office with 50 per cent staff on rotational basis after the lockdown so that teachers have access to the study material for online.
