Financial literacy awareness programme conducted

UDHAMPUR, July 12: Awareness Programme on PMJDY and Social Security Schemes of Government of India   was conducted at village Sui in Udhampur by Ellaquai Dehati Bank in association with NABARD.
Manohar Lal, DDM, NABARD, Udhampur presided over the function. Residents of the village participated in the function  and they were  informed about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY) and other Social Security Schemes of Government of India so that they can avail the benefits of these schemes.
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna Scheme was also explained to the residents in which it will be a one year cover and renewable from year to year. All savings bank account holders in the age 18 to 50 years  are entitled to join and Rs.2 lakhs is payable on member’s death due to any reason. Premium payable is Rs.330 per annum per member which will be deducted from the account holder’s savings bank account.
Pradhan Mantri Suraksh Bima Yojna and Atal Pension Yojna were also discussed in detail with the participants .  Sagar Bannerjee, Principal, KC Gurukal Public School, Udhampur, M.K. Pandita, LDM, SBI, Veerji Raina, DCO, EDB, Udhampur,  Romesh Kumar Bhat, BM, EDB, Shiv Nagar were present on the occasion.
