SRINAGAR, June 6: Deputy Controller, Legal Metrology (Enforcement), Srinagar, Tanveer Ahamd slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 on a Himachal-based Ice cream manufacturing company for not mentioning the net contents and other declarations legibly on the label as per the requirements of Legal Metrology(Packaged Commodities )Rules.
During a routine inspection of the markets Kewal Krishan, Assistant Controller, found that the declarations on the labels of ice-cream packs of reputed company were not prominent and legible to customers. The legal notice was served to management of the Himachael based company and the area sales manager of the company.
