FIR against Ganga for land grabbing

SAMBA, July 27: Vijaypur Police has registered FIR against six persons including former Minister of Industries and Commerce and senior BJP leader, Chander Paraksh Ganga for alleged land grabbing in village Salmeri, Vijaypur tehsil of district Samba on the basis of a written complaint made by one Satish Sharma, son of Oma Dutt of Ramkot, in Kathua district.
The other persons named in the FIR included Vidhya Sharma, son of Swatantar, Rajesh Sharma, son of Suraj Parkash, Jai Kumar Sharma and Suraj Parkash Sharma, sons of Sri Niwas and one unknown person.
The complainant in his application filed at Police Station, Vijaypur alleged that 12 Kanals of land in the village Salmeri has been purchased by him and it was in his possession. He was threatened by Jai Kumar Sharma and Suraj Parkash Sharma, sons of Sri Niwas while he demarcated the land on July 23 which has been purchased by him under Khasra Number 429 min, Khewat No 43, Khata No 423 at village Salmeri from one Veeran Devi widow of Roop Singh of R S Pura through attorney holder Dev Raj Choudhary, son of late Subedar Kirpa Ram of Basspur , Bangla, tehsil R S Pura by virtue of sale deed duly executed and registered on July 5 in 2009. The applicant further said that the mutation and Girdhawari also stands attested on his name.
The complainant said that he had covered the land with iron poles and barbed wire but the former Minister and his relatives wanted to forcibly grab the land from him. He further said that he got the land demarcated from the Revenue Department on July 23. Jai Kumar Sharma and Suraj Parkash Sharma were also present on the occasion and they threatened him of dire consequences and even gave life threat to him if he does not give up the claim on the land.
In the complaint, Satish Sharma further said that he did not take the cognizance of the threat at first and on the same day later he was again threatened by one of the land grabbers to leave the claim on the land otherwise he will be eliminated. Though he took this also lightly, on July 27 he was informed by some local people that Vidhay Sharma and Rajesh Sharma came on the spot with the vehicle and brought JCB along with them and forcibly trespassed in his land and removed the iron poles and two bundles of barbed wire and took it along with them.
He further said that when he reached on the spot to verify the same, he saw that the barbed wire and poles were removed.
Sharma alleged that the accused persons are hell bent in grabbing the land belonging to him and demanded action under law against them.
The Vijaypur Police on the basis of complaint has registered a FIR No 130/2020, under Sections 447, 427, 378, 506, 34 IPC against the former Minster and his relatives.
The police has entrusted the investigation of the case to Sub Inspector, Vijay Kumar.
However, when contacted the former Minister termed the FIR registered against him and his relatives by Satish Kumar totally baseless.
Ganga said that the land belongs to his brother which he has purchased 15 years back and there are proper revenue records with them and the entry of the land has been made in the Girdhawari records of Revenue Department also.
He totally dismissed the allegation that the poles and fencing was dismantled by him and his men and said that the same was done by the Revenue Department itself and he has no knowledge of the same. He said the records have been scanned by the Revenue Department and truth will come to fore soon.
