POONCH, Mar 25: A case has been registered by Poonch police against the owner and reporter of Urdu newspaper Sada-e-Kohastan namely, Abdual Haleem Awan of Hari in Surankote for publishing fake news in the newspaper as six persons test positive for COVID- 19 which created a fear among the local people.
Acting on the complaint Surankote police under the directions of SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral registered FIR No. 40/20 U/S 505(1) IPC in Police Station, Surankote. The investigation of the case has been started.
District Police Poonch has requested the general public to adhere to the rule and regulation and stay at home, maintain the general hygiene and don’t believe in fake and malicious news.
