SAMBA, Apr 15: District Police Samba lodged a FIR against a person who was trying to reach home at Mangu Chack, Rajpura from Ambala in Haryana crossing various prohibited Red Zones enroute his journey.
Acting on reliable information that a person was travelling from Ambala to Ghagwal amidst lockdown across the country, Police party of P/S Ghagwal swung into action and traced out him. He has been identified as Swaran Singh, S/o Jabar Singh, R/O Mangu Chack, Rajpura, Ghagwal and immediately put to Quarantine Centre Shivam Resort, Ghagwal with the assistance of Health Department.
On questioning he disclosed that he was trying to reach home after taking lift in a truck carrying essential commodities from Ambala and Haryana.
Despite knowing that the disease is dangerous to life he ignored Government advisories by travelling from Ambala, Haryana to Ghagwal after crossing various Red Zones all the way, hiding his travel history, thereby putting at risk the lives of his family members & general public at large. This way he did not put his own life but the life of others to risk in the society.
As such, a Case FIR No. 32/2020 US 269/270/188 IPC was registered at P/S Ghagwal against him.
