JAMMU, Oct 12: Samba Police has registered a case against the contractor and his employees for manhandling a bus driver at newly functional Toll Plaza at Sarore in the jurisdictional area of Police Station Bari-Brahmana.
Acting on the information that contractor and his employees restrained the way of bus JK02AR-3277 and attacked the driver namely Roop Chand, who was abused and manhandled when the said bus reached at Toll Plaza, a Police Party of P/S Bari-Brahmana, rushed to the spot to verify the facts and circumstances.
During the preliminary enquiry, it came to fore that the said contractor had involved in heated arguments with the bus driver over the issue of payment at Toll Plaza and thereafter he alongwith his associates started abusing and beating the driver.
On this, a case FIR number 161/2019 U/S 341/323/147 RPC was registered at P/S Bari-Brahmana against Toll Plaza Contractor and his employees. Further investigation into the case is going on.
