RAJOURI, Mar 12: Five persons have been detained for their alleged involvement in sacrilegious act in Chingus area of Rajouri district.
Official sources said that an information of a sacrilegious act was received at Police Post Chatyar, Chingus after which a team headed by PSI Sahil Chowdhary reached the spot.
Later, ASP Vivek Shekhar, DySP Hqrs Rajouri, Vinod Sharma, SHO Insp Fareed Ahmed also reached the spot.
Legal formalities were completed in the matter and a case FIR No 92/2022 under section 295-A has been registered in Rajouri Police Station.
Five suspects have been rounded up for questioning so far, police said. Further investigation has been launched.
