SRINAGAR, Oct 5: A meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Ethics Committee was held here today under the chairmanship of MLC Firdous Tak.
Legislators, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Shah (Veeri), Mohammad Muzaffar Parray and Rani Gargi Blowria were present at the meeting.
It was decided that the Committee will conduct study tour of some States including New Delhi and Kerala to get know how of their Ethics Committee working.
During the meeting, the Committee members suggested various proposals to make the Ethics Committee Rules more effective.
The Chairman asked the Committee Members to give their suggestions in writing so that the same could be incorporated in Ethics Rules after proper discussion and examination.
Senior officers of the Council Secretariat also attended the meeting.
