SRINAGAR, Nov 9: The top floor of a commercial building in the Bagh-e-Mentab area of Srinagar was gutted in a fire today.
An official said that the fire, which started early this morning, engulfed the top floor, resulting in complete destruction. “The cause of the fire is still unknown and is currently under investigation by the authorities,” he said.
He added that firefighters, assisted by police and locals, managed to extinguish the fire after working tirelessly to contain it and prevent its further spread. “Despite their efforts, the damage occurred, and officials are assessing the extent of the loss,” he said. Fortunately, he added that there were no reported injuries or loss of life in the incident.
