Fire damages DC Pulwama’s office

Srinagar, Dec 29: Fire broke out in Deputy Commissioner Pulwama’s office today damaging it partially. However, the records are safe.
The fire started from the old DC office building, housing offices of Assistant Commissioner for Development, Joint Director Planning and District Election Officer Pulwama trapping all the staff members of DC office Pulwama.
Police, paramilitary CRPF and Fire and Emergency Department immediately reached the spot to rescue the trapped employees and douse the flames.
The officials said that they were assessing the damage to property and records and can give report after some time.  However, they said that most of the records have been saved but some records pertaining to Election Department were gutted.
Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Sajad Ahmad Khan that the cause of fire has not been ascertained yet, but could be short circuit.
Police is investigating the cause of fire but one of the top police officials ruled out any foul play.
