Fire damages ticket counters at Jammu Airport

JAMMU, Oct 29: A fire broke out at the ticketing counters of the Jammu Airport today.
As per police sources, fire broke out at a ticket counter of Jammu Airport at around 3 am probably due to short circuit. The fire later engulfed the other ticket counters also.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services about the incident.
Around half dozen fire tenders of the IAF and Department of Fire and Emergency Services were immediately pressed into service to extinguish it.
No loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
Flights were operating as per their schedule and there is no impact on the flights.
Damage to the counters will be taken care of by insurance companies, he added.
Satwari Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
