SRINAGAR, Feb 9: A massive fire damaged the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) building in Tangmarg in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, fire and emergency officials said.
The fire broke out around 10.30 am in the upper section of the two-storey building and engulfed the entire complex.
It took more than four hours to fire and emergency men and machines to douse the leaping flames. The building also housed the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police Operations.
The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit. All office records were destroyed the incident. (Agencies)
