JAMMU, Nov 22: A devastating fire destroyed a house at Krishna Nagar locality here today.
Source said the incident occurred when owner of the house, Balak Ram, along with his two daughters and son, had gone to Shiekh Nagar Bahu, to celebrate his grand daughter’s wedding.
They said the neighbours noticed the flames and quickly informed Balak Ram about the fire.
Firefighters arrived promptly and worked hard to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes, they said.
However, by the time the fire was doused, the house was completely gutted, and all belongings inside were destroyed, sources said.
Deeply distressed by the loss, Balak Ram has appealed to the Government for urgent assistance.
He and his family members have urged the authorities to step in and provide them with immediate relief during their difficult time.
