Fire in CRPF’s record room

KISHTWAR, Feb 28: Fire erupted in the record room of Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF’s) Headquarters at PDC Colony here today.
As per police sources, due to leakage of LPG cylinder in the canteen, a fire broke out in the adjacent record room of 52nd CRPF Headquarters at PDC Colony.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and fire fighters were pressed into service to douse the flames. After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control, but till then 70 per cent of the record kept in the room turned into ashes.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the matter.
Meanwhile, a residential house owned by Ahumdoo Malik, son of Razzak Malik got gutted in fire due to short circuit at Kuchal in tehsil Mugalmaidan. No injury or casualty has been reported, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Police has taken cognizance in both the fire incidents.
