POONCH, Nov 21: Fire broke out in the kitchen of a house due to leakage of LPG cylinder in Aalapir area of Mandi during which house owner was also injured.
Official sources said that after the fire broke out in the cooking gas cylinder due to leakage, the kitchen also caught fire. A woman working in the kitchen escaped to safety but house owner received some injuries while fighting the fire. The goods and other household items kept in the kitchen were also burnt.
The house owner, Abu Baker while extinguishing the fire sustained some injuries. The jawans of local Army unit rushed to the site and doused the fire and also dragged the burning LPG cylinder outside.
Abu Bakar is serving as Lecturer in the Education department. He was shifted to Mandi hospital for treatment. The police has taken cognizance.
