JAMMU, June 11: A major fire broke out in the bushes near forest depot in Qasim Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu police station.
As per police sources, a fire broke out in the bushes in Qasim Nagar, which later engulfed around one kilometer of the area.
On getting information, police team from Bagh-e-Bahu police station headed by SI Sunil Sharma rushed to the spot and fire fighters were pressed into service to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts of around two hours, the fire was brought under control and restricted from spreading to Forest Depot.
No casualty or injury has been reported in the incident.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
