JAMMU, Sept 11: The firemen posted at Fire and Emergency Station, Adh-kuwari have exhibited an act of honesty by returning a bag containing cash and gold to its bonafide claimant.
Reports said that firemen detected an unclaimed bag near the dispensary at Adh-kuwari this afternoon. As none of the pilgrims present near the dispensary came forward to claim the bag, the firemen took the same into custody.
They found cash, gold chain, camera, a diary and other articles in the bag. Exhibiting act of honesty, they contacted the claimant of the bag on the mobile number mentioned in the diary and later returned the same to the bonafide claimant after proper verification.
The claimant namely Ashwani Singh, son of Sunder Singh, a resident of Raipur Satwari lauded the act of honesty of the firemen.
