REASI, Sept 3: The first Army recruitment rally in Jammu and Kashmir after abrogation of the Article 370 and Article 35A, is being organized at Reasi from today.
Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) of Indian Army is organising this seven- day recruitment rally through Army Recruitment Office, Jammu, at Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) of J&K Police at Talwara, Reasi.
Over 29000 aspiring youths from Jammu Region have registered themselves and are likely to be screened for their physical and medical fitness during the week-long Recruitment Rally.
The rally, which will continue till September 9, 2019, is being conducted to provide employment to youth from seven districts i.e. Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Ramban and Reasi. Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) and District Administration, Reasi are providing all necessary administrative support for successful conduct of the recruitment rally.
On the first day of the rally, more than 2500 candidates from districts of Kishtwar and Ramban converged for the physical fitness tests. The vacancies are open for six categories which are Soldier General Duty, Soldier Technical, Soldier Technical Nursing Assistance (AMC)/ Soldier Technical Nursing Assistance Veterinary, Soldier Clerk, Store Keeper Technical and Soldier Tradesman.
The recruitment process is divided into several categories and rounds include physical fitness test, medical test and written test. The recruitment process is totally computerised and is absolutely transparent. Special emphasis is being made to make all the prospective candidates understand this process so that they do not fall prey to touts. Selected candidates will be inducted into the various arms and services of the Army.
The response, as seen in the recruitment rally, is an indicator of the desire of the youth of J&K to opt for peace and progress. This recruitment rally across the Jammu region goes a long way in meeting the aspirations of the youths of the hinterland and remote areas, who wish to join the Army, serve the nation and carve out a brighter future for themselves and their families.
