First condemn murder, then talk about elements who vitiate it: Omar to Nirmal Singh

SRINAGAR :  Hitting out at Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh over his comments against the strike call given to protest the death of a Kashmiri trucker, National Conference working president Omar Abdullah said he should first condemn the murder and then give lecture on elements who disturb the harmony.
“How about condemning the murder, condoling the death & then presuming to lecture us about elements who vitiate,” Mr Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Mr Abdullah was responding to a tweet which quoted Mr Singh’s comments on the bandh call given by separatists, as ‘an attempt by certain elements to vitiate atmosphere, they should re think on that’.
Trucker Zahid Rasool Bhat and two others, including a policeman, were injured when some people attacked their truck with a petrol bomb at Udhampur on October 9 where protests were held during the day, demanding ban on beef.       Bhat succumbed to injuries in Safdurjung hospital in New Delhi. (UNI)
