DODA, Apr 21: A fisherman drowned while catching fish in Neeru river in Bhaderwah area of the district.
Police said that Vijay Kumar, son of Diwan Raj of Shangroo went to catch fish in the Neeru river early in the morning. While throwing net in the river he got slipped from the boulder and fell in the deep waters.
Later, some people of Malnai area found the body of fisherman on the bank of river and informed Bhalla Police Post. The body was later sent to hospital for post-mortem.
Police has initiated inquest proceedings in this regard.
