Five accused involved in attempt to murder case arrested

JAMMU, Sept 3: Five accused persons, who were involved in attempt to murder case have been arrested by Kanachak Police.
As per police spokesman, on August 30 this year, a person namely Rajinder Kumar, son of late Dev Raj of Galwaddey Chak lodged a complaint with Police Station Kanachak stating that his nephew namely Vishal Sharma, son of Vijay Kumar of Galwaddey Chak while on evening walk via Galwaddey Chak to Gedelly when 5 to 6 persons restrained his way and attacked him with sharp edged weapon (toka) and sword with the intention of murder.
In the incident, Vishal Sharma received multiple injuries and was shifted to hospital.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 140/2020 under sections 341, 323, 307 and 147 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Kanachak and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a number of teams from police station were constituted for the search and arrest of accused persons.
All the five accused persons identified as Lucky Sharma alias Katta, son of Milki Ram of Kanachak Camp, Vijay Kumar, son of Rattan Lal of Lalyal, Rohit Singh alias Johni, son of Bachan Singh of Gho Manasa Jammu, Bharat Bhushan alias Boni, son of Raj Kumar of Galwaddey Chak and Raj Baber Singh alias Babru, son of late Rattan Singh of Kukrian Teh Marh District Jammu were arrested.
Weapons which were used for stabbing were recovered on the disclosure of the accused.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
The arrest of the accused and recovery has been made by police team headed by SHO Kanachak Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Suram Singh.
