JAMMU, Mar 9: Tawi Welfare Society organised a five day Eye Cataract Surgery Camp which was inaugurated by Dr. Jai Paul Singh Jamwal, Chief Medical Officer, Health and Family Welfare, Jammu.
Other prominent personalities present on the occasion were Geetu Aulakh, DDC Member Jammu; Dr. Sameer Koul, BMO CHC Sohanjana; Choudhary Jagar Singh, Social Activist; Dr. Nirupama Dogra, Senior Consultant Optho; Dr. Kamal Gupta, Consultant Optho; Dr. Jyoti Bhau, Sarpanch Ishya Devi, Sarpanch Amarjeet Kour, Sarpanch Balbir Singh and Panch Lata Rajput.
More than 300 patients were screened and 39 were selected for surgery.
A handout stated that this is the 30th Camp being organized by the Society in collaboration with Health Department Jammu.
The boarding, lodging, medicines and other related facilities will be provided free of cost in the Camp by the Society.
