JAMMU, Jan 27: Five-day Leadership Development Program (LDP) on school leadership and mentoring of Principals and Vice-principals affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) being organized by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu commended today and will conclude on January 31.
The program was inaugurated by Prof BS Sahay, Director IIM Jammu today.
The participants of the LDP represent various states of India such as, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh to name a few.
Speaking on the inaugural, Prof BS Sahay emphasized on excellence in teaching, which should be expected approximately with the help of structured planning. He stated that, teachers nowadays need to give more importance to instilling values and discipline in students.
He further added that teachers are nation builders and should focus more on making the students’ job creators and not job seekers. He also emphasized on the exemplary conduct of the faculty to be the role model for students.
Chairperson Executive Education, Prof. Burhan also shared his viewpoint on motivating students for higher education.
The introductory address on the inaugural session was given by Prof Mamta Tripathi, Co-Director LDP and session was concluded with a vote of thanks given by Prof Manoj Kumar, Co-Director LDP.
