JAMMU, Mar 23: A five-day training programme on Educational Planning and Financial Management for HoDs/+2 Principals of DIETs of Jammu division, concluded today at State Institute of Education (SIE), Jammu.
The programme started on March 19, was organized by PME Wing of SIE Jammu. Thirty-seven HoDs/+2 Principals from various DIETs of Jammu division participated in the programme. The training programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Mohd Iqbal, Joint Director (Trainings)/Principal, SIE Jammu.
During the training programme various key issues like educational management and its essence, stress management, delegation of authority, role & responsibility of the head of institutions, Leave rules, pay fixation, civil service rules, treasury transactions, OB items, pension cases, codal procedures for incurring expenditure out of the local funds, settlement of the audit paras contained in the AIRs and Income Tax rules were taken up in depth by the internal as well as external resource persons.
The internal resource persons of the training programme were Dheeraj Jandial (CAO, DSE Jammu), Nand Kishore (+2 Principal, SIEJ) while external resource persons from NZATI department were Monica Parihar (AO), Reena (CAO), Ashu Behl (CAO), Shabina Kousar (AO), Virti (AO), Aditi Sharma (AO) and Jatinder Pandita (Deputy Director, Audits & Inspections), SK Raina (retired Joint Director), Suresh Gouria (Academic Officer, JKBOSE), Romesh Sharma (Lecturer, DSEJ) and Jagdish Raj Sharma (Principal, HSS Mandal).
Addressing the valedictory function today, Mohd Iqbal emphasized on the thrust for adopting the managerial skills, knowledge of financial rules and developing leadership qualities. Further, he impressed upon the participant HoDs to fully utilize the knowledge gained during the training programme in the field of their jurisdiction in an effective and most efficient manner.
The proceedings of the training programme were conducted by Nand Kishore, Plus 2 Principal/Co-ordinator, SIE Jammu.
