Five day workshop on ‘ICT in Education’ concludes at GCOE

JAMMU, Mar 5: Five day workshop on ‘ICT in Education’, organized under CSS, by Government College of Educat-ion, Jammu, concluded today with the valedictory function.
Principal of the college, Prof (Dr) Koushal Smotra, who presided over the function, encouraged the participants to take home the messages they have received in the workshop and make best use of technological resources to generate a new dimension in the field of teaching learning process.
Earlier on the concluding day, the first two technical sessions were taken by Ravikant Verma, Programmer from the University of Jammu, who spoke on “Utility of ICT”. The other resource persons for the workshop were; Dr Rajiv Rattan from Deptt of Education University of Jammu, Dr Naveen Gondhi from SMVDU, Prof Minu Bala, GGM Science College, Dr Mool Raj from MIER, Pramod Kumar Singh, Dr Sangita Gupta, Dr Vinod Kumar and Dr Seema Lalotra, all from Deptt of Library and Information Sciences, JU, Asstt Prof Ashu Jolly, Asstt Prof Deep Bangotra from GCOE Jammu and Ravikant Verma from JU.
The participating in- service teachers from various secondary schools, expressed their gratitude for invitation and having an opportunity to be a part of the workshop. They also shared their experience as feedback. Prof Deep K Bangotra, the organizing secretary presented the comprehensive report of five day workshop supported by a power point presentation of the five day programme.
Others present on the occasion, were Prof C L Shivgotra, Prof. Babu Lal Thakur, non teaching staff of the college and students. The overall programe was anchored by Prof (Dr ) Piyali Arora and Media and Technical Support was given by Prof Ashu Jolly.
