Five days course on ‘Management of Tactical Operations’ commences

UDHAMPUR Oct 31: Five days course on “Management of Tactical Operations” commenced at SK Police Academy here in which 18 officers of J&K Police are participating.
In his inaugural address, Mohan Lal, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor/Trgs) welcomed the participants on behalf of Director Academy.
“Our country is facing menace of insurgency and terrorism for quite a long time detrimental for peace and stability”, he said, adding that we are surrounded by hostile atmosphere at the behest of our neighbourers.
Sensing prime responsibility of maintaining peace and order as first responders we have to uphold law and provide a secure environment, he said and informed the audience that the course is blend of theory, practical and technological innovations necessary to upskill young officers on the anti-militancy front and also to avoid collateral damage.
He further said that the capacity building of civil servants at various fronts is the future road map undertaken by this Academy. He said that the programme is endeavor and unrelenting efforts of DGP J&K and Director SK Police Academy who are closely monitoring the outcomes.
Given the agenda, he was optimistic that at the end of the course, we well be reaping good dividends.
The session was also attended by Kameshwar Puri, SP, guest faculty, Pawam Kumar Sharma, SP, Suraj Singh AD, Trg/R&D, Sukhvir Singh AD (Admn), Chander Mohan, Inspector.
The course is being coordinated by Vishal Manhas, DySP AD (Outdoor) and Nasser Mehmood Naik, Inspector, member faculty.
