Five drug peddlers arrested with heroin

KISHTWAR, June 19: Chatroo and Kishtwar Police arrested five drug peddlers and recovered 28 grams of heroin from their possessions.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Chatroo led by SHO Inspector Sameer Ahmed and accompanied by PSI Mohammad Javid laid a naka and intercepted a bullet motorcycle.
During checking, police team recovered 18 grams of heroin from the possession of three persons riding on the motorcycle and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Rameez Raja, Mefooza Begum and Nobia Begum, all residents of Sarkoot District Kishtwar.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Kishtwar led by SHO Inspector Abid Bukhari and assisted by PSI Happy Singh laid a naka at Girinagar and intercepted a vehicle.
During checking, police team recovered 10 grams of heroin from the possession of two persons travelling in the vehicle and arrested them.
The accused were identified as Aehrar Toyab of Akhyar Abad District Kishtwar and Asif Zargar of Zargar Mohalla District Kishtwar.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Stations Chatroo and Kishtwar and investigation started.
